Homemakers Honored at Appreciation Luncheon at Local Nursing Home

The Homemakers were honored in an appreciation luncheon held at the South Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday April 26th.

Those in attendance were Sue Ann T., Barbara C., Denise B., Glenda P., Patsy B., and Debbie O.

Homemakers Donate to the Owens Cross Roads Fire Department

Monday April 23rd, the Owens Cross Roads Homemakers presented a check for $250 to the Owens Cross Roads Fire Department for the purchase of items to be given to students for Fire Prevention Week.

Those in attendance for the check presentation were Tina M., Sheila G., Debbie O., Shirley B., Donna F., Margaret M., and Donna L.

ACWW Women Walk the World

On April 21st, the Owens Cross Roads Homemakers participated in the a walk to support the ACWW. Those in attendance were Sherry G., Glenda P., LaNelle P., Debbie O., Crystal W., & Donna L.

We also had 3 little guests to accompany us.

After the walk, we participated in the Earth Day festivities held at the Hays Nature Preserve. Everything was free to the public.

Members from the club attended a taping of the show "He Cooks, She Cooks."

11 members and 4 guests were in attendance.

Community Outreach-Bags of Blessings

As part of our community outreach, we are helping with the Bags of Blessings campaign. These bags go to children who aren't eating over the weekends. 

 These bags are sent home with children each Friday.
